Seiko - Prospex Solar Chronograph | SSC923

The SSC923 Speedtimer Solar Chronograph Series from the Prospex Collection inspired by Seiko's first precision chronographs, developed for international sporting competitions in 1964.  Combining the convenience of solar power and rugged durability with sporty style, the chronograph speedtimer, is part of the Black Series. Inspired by night vision scopes, featuring long-lasting bright vivid Lumibrite green against an all black dial.  The SSC923 solar powered black PVD coated stainless steel 41.4mm case has an anthracite black matte dial with black ceramic tachymeter bezel. Applied vivid green LumiBirght markers with pencil style hands with small slanted date window are easily legible behind a curved sapphire crystal. Polished chronograph pushers measure 60 minutes in 1/5- second increments with a small seconds, 24hour sub dial and power reserve indicator functions. Brushed chronograph push button functions surround the push-pull crown with 100 meter water resistance rating.  Seiko's own in-house movement caliber V192 is powered by light, using ambient or direct sunlight with 6 month power reserve for low easy maintenance (no need for a battery). Fitted with a black canvas strap with white stitch and brushed and polished black PVD coated stainless steel tang pin buckle closure.
